Open AI Caribbean Data Science Challenge

Open AI Caribbean Challenge: Mapping Disaster Risk from Aerial Imagery is an online data science challenge hosted by DrivenData.

In this challenge, participants will a use a dataset of aerial images in the Caribbean to classify buildings by their roof construction material. This is a good indicator for identifying buildings that are at high risk in the event of natural disasters. Training a model that can make accurate predictions from aerial images can drastically reduce the time and cost of identifying high-risk structures compared to traditional methods.
