Overview

Modern space and defense programs demand faster, more defensible engineering decisions earlier in the lifecycle and under increasing complexity. This in‑person technical event focuses on how mission‑centric digital engineering uses executable, integrated models to support system‑level decisions spanning architecture definition, acquisition planning, and operations and certification activities.

This program is intended for engineers and technical leaders supporting complex aerospace and defense efforts, including missile defense, Army aviation, space systems, and other mission‑critical system‑of‑systems programs.

Highlights

Across technical sessions and hands-on workshops, the event demonstrates how engineering teams move beyond static documents and use executable models to align mission goals, system architecture, and verification outcomes.

The sessions illustrate approaches used to:

  • Translate mission objectives into measurable system requirements and architecture trade criteria
  • Evaluate large trade spaces early to inform technical and program decisions
  • Reuse models across design, operations, and sustainment to maintain lifecycle continuity
  • Generate traceable, review ready artifacts that support verification and certification activities
  • Communicate complex system-of-systems decisions using executable analysis

All workflows are grounded in realistic aerospace and defense use cases and reflect engineering activities applicable to programs that operate at scale, span long lifecycles, and face evolving mission demands.

How to Use This Page

Below, you will find detailed session titles and descriptions that outline the technical content covered throughout the day. Each session focuses on engineering workflows and decision outcomes, helping you quickly identify which presentations align most closely with your current engineering responsibilities and program challenges. You are welcome to attend the sessions that are most relevant to your role.

Please note that the two afternoon sessions run concurrently.

Who Should Attend

This event is intended for engineers and technical leaders responsible for system‑level decisions, including:

  • Systems, software, modeling and simulation, and analysis engineers
  • MBSE, digital engineering, and mission engineering practitioners
  • Engineering leads and managers supporting architecture, integration, and technical reviews
  • Engineers supporting government, prime, or supplier organizations across space and defense programs

If your role involves architecture trades, mission analysis, operational modeling, integration planning, or certification readiness, the workflows and examples presented align with common program responsibilities.
