MATLAB to C Made Easy


In this webinar, we demonstrate the workflow for generating readable and portable C code from your MATLAB algorithms using MATLAB Coder. Using the command line approach or the MATLAB Coder app, you can introduce implementation requirements to your algorithms written in MATLAB and generate readable source code, standalone compiled executable, or a library that can be shared across your organization.

MathWorks engineers also explore how you can automatically generate MEX functions to accelerate computationally intensive portions of your MATLAB code by running it at compiled speed, or use it to verify the behavior of the generated code back in MATLAB.


Watch this talk to learn how to:

  • Generate readable and portable C code from MATLAB algorithms using the MATLAB Coder App or command line APIs
  • Deploy the generated code onto hardware
  • Generate code from deep learning networks such as AlexNet to deploy onto Intel and ARM processors

About the Presenter

Bill Chou is the product manager for MATLAB Coder, GPU Coder, and Simulink PLC Coder at MathWorks. He has worked primarily on MATLAB/Simulink to C code generation products for embedded processors, including Simulink Coder and Embedded Coder, for the past 12 years. Bill holds an M.S. degree in Electrical Engineering from the University of Southern California and a B.A.Sc degree in Electrical Engineering from the University of British Columbia.
