Technical Writing - Radar Systems Summer Intern

Job Summary

Looking for a Summer 2020 technical writer intern!

We are looking for a highly motivated individual to work with our experienced software engineers to produce examples and reference pages focused on phased array and radar systems. This position requires someone who likes to write, has an eye for detail, and is passionate about signal processing.

As an intern, you will receive a combination of practical experience and training in a work environment that fosters and rewards cooperation, teamwork, learning, and fun.

This internship will prepare you for a career at MathWorks starting in our Engineering Development Group (EDG).

Responsibilities

After training on MathWorks development processes and tools, you will work with the documentation team to teach and guide customers on the use of products such as:

  • Phased Array System Toolbox
  • Radar Toolbox

Minimum Qualifications

  • Candidates must be pursuing a master's level or a PhD level degree in a technical discipline.
  • Experience with MATLAB

Additional Qualifications

  • Pursuing an MS or PhD in Computer Science or Electrical Engineering with a strong academic record
  • Ability to explain complex topics clearly in writing.
  • Basic knowledge of radar systems and, in particular, target scattering.
  • Strong communication skills
  • Simulink experience is a plus
  • Experience in programming and object-oriented design
  • 3 months full-time commitment
