Automated Driving Market Research and Analytics Intern

Job Summary

MathWorks has been making extensive investment in building and delivering engineering tools for advanced driver assistance systems (ADAS) and automated driving (AD). In the meantime, MathWorks teams have been working closely with automotive companies world-wide to apply these tools to ADAS/AD development. We are building a decision support system so that data from customer engagements can be effectively and systematically incorporated into the decision of R&D and field resource investments.  We have an active opening for a summer intern to prototype key parts of this system.

  • Develop common terminology for ADAS/AD development tasks
    • Perform research using external information sources such as industry conference presentations, company websites, and published reports.
    • Interview internal resources.
  • Map world-wide customer engagements to these tasks
    • The result is a map where field resource time is invested today
    • The map will be used, on an experimental basis, to support field-level decisions on resource time allocation on a finer level than what is available today.
  • Prototype parts of the decision support system that keeps the above continuously updated.
    • This will support recommendations on R&D and field resource investment for the longer term and on an on-going basis.

  • Candidates must be pursuing an MBA.

Additional Qualifications

  • Knowledge of MathWorks products (MATLAB/Simulink) or other multi-domain simulation software
