Job Summary

Looking for Summer 2020 HDL Verifier and SoC Blockset Testing Intern!

Come join our enthusiastic and energetic team in enhancing testability, developing automated verification framework and conducting hands-on testing of FPGA based products and features including HDL Code generation, Hardware prototyping and Targeting. These products help prototype system designs in Simulink and deploy the design on FPGA.

You will enhance testability of these features, develop robust testing strategies, and conduct hands-on testing. As a member of the development organization, you will be involved in all stages of the development process and play a critical role in driving it to final product release.

As an intern, you will receive a combination of practical experience and training in a work environment that fosters and rewards cooperation, teamwork, learning, and fun.

This internship will prepare you for a career at MathWorks starting in our Engineering Development Group (EDG).

Responsibilities

After training on MathWorks development processes and tools, you will work with the HDL Verifier/SoC Blockset team on:

  • MathWork’s FPGA family of products
  • Our development & testing processes

Your responsibilities will include but not limited to:

  • Develop test infrastructure for hardware-software system designs and implement automated tests
  • Developing test tools and writing automated test suites using MATLAB and Simulink
  • Participating in feature definitions, design discussions, test planning, design reviews and code reviews
  • Diagnosing and reporting bugs in the software and hardware (SoCs, FPGAs)
  • Work with EDA tools like Xilinx Vivado, Altera Quartus, Mentor Graphics Questa/Modelsim etc
  • Evaluate and benchmark product performance

Minimum Qualifications

  • Candidates must be pursuing a master's level or a PhD level degree in a technical discipline.
  • Programming experience with MATLAB
  • Familiar with FPGA's

Additional Qualifications

  • Pursuing an MS or PhD in Computer Science or Electrical Engineering with a strong academic record
  • Hands on experience with Xilinx/Altera FPGA development boards and ZYNQ SoC
