Will be responsible for contributing to the marketing and sales of MathWorks’ sophisticated engineering products; designing and developing sophisticated software product models and simulations to demonstrate new MATLAB features; developing technical engineering demonstrations of new MATLAB features to support the company’s marketing activities; leading MathWorks global go-to-market execution to drive product adoption of MATLAB; building data analytics integration models and analytics systems to perform customer experience analysis and analyze usage data to support data-driven marketing decisions; gathering customer software requirements to inform development and customization of MATLAB; applying technical expertise to produce technical papers, demos, videos, articles, and user stories in support of MATLAB product; understanding customers’ technical language, absorbing highly technical material and concepts, and clearly communicating verbally and in writing the solutions created and proposed with MathWorks products; supporting the technical aspect of the marketing process; working with prospective customers to understand their workflow and provide recommendations on how solutions from MathWorks can improve the results of customer product development processes; delivering product evaluations for prospective customers to prove the value of MathWorks products within the constructs of a feasibility project; identifying new market opportunities; and working closely with the engineering staff on the development of new features for MATLAB product. Requires domestic/international travel based on company/client need (approximately 10%).

Minimum Qualifications:

Education and Experience:

Master’s degree in Engineering, Computer Science, Bioengineering and Robotics, or a closely related field (or foreign education equivalent) and two (2) years of experience as a Senior Product Marketing Engineer (or related occupation) performing product-market alignment for technical software.

OR

Ph.D. degree in Engineering, Computer Science, Bioengineering and Robotics, or a closely related field (or foreign education equivalent) and no experience.

OR

Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Computer Science, Bioengineering and Robotics, or a closely related field (or foreign education equivalent) and five (5) years of experience as a Senior Product Marketing Engineer (or related occupation) performing product-market alignment for technical software.

 

Special Requirements:

  • Demonstrated expertise programming in MATLAB and performing software development across programming languages and integrated development environments (IDEs); and developing product demonstrations or performing technical support of MATLAB features across scientific and engineering domains.
  • Demonstrated expertise performing data analytics to drive data-driven decision-making processes.
  • Demonstrated expertise understanding customer needs and workflows, advocating for strategic customer requests, and translating them into new features and functionalities to enhance product offerings; and conducting Voice of the Customer/Client sessions, mapping troubleshooting workflows, and developing technical reference materials.
  • Demonstrated expertise in project management, including managing relationships and strategic conversations with multiple stakeholders to develop and execute product roadmaps; and presenting to audiences at conferences, symposia, and customer events.
