The Event Sales Engagement Manager acts as a crucial link between the Field Marketing, Product Marketing, Sales, Sales Enablement, and the Corporate Events Team, focusing on customer-facing events and sales training events. This position ensures that corporate events are strategically designed to maximize qualified lead capture, pipeline development, and revenue opportunities, thereby driving organizational growth. Reporting to the Director of Corporate Events, the individual will formulate and execute a multi-faceted communication plan targeted specifically for sales. By facilitating effective communication and empowering sales teams, this role ensures that sales goals are integral to event KPIs and design, optimizing the overall impact of events.

  • North American MATLAB EXPO User Conference  
  • North American & European Customer Advisory Events  
  • MathWorks Global Sales Kick-Off 
  • Other Customer Conferences as appropriate 

Responsabilidades

Serve as a Key Intermediary:

  • Act as the primary liaison and facilitate cross-functional collaboration between the Field Marketing, Product Marketing, Sales, and the Corporate Events Teams ensuring seamless communication and strategic alignment on event goals, and customer experience
  • Collaborate with the Sales Enablement/Sales Training Teams and the Sales Kick Off Program Manager to ensure Sales Kick Off events are designed to achieve sales team objectives and enhance training effectiveness

Communication Planning:

  • Enable sales teams to effectively recruit for events and generate customer speakers by providing necessary tools and resources.
  • Develop and implement a communication plan specifically for sales teams, distributors, and partners, ensuring timely delivery of materials to maximize their impact on recruitment and event agendas.
  • Create and distribute promotional sales kits and materials to equip the sales team, distributors, and partners for effective event promotion.
  • Ensure all communication materials align with brand guidelines and effectively convey sales goals.

Measurement:

  • Facilitate execution of measurement strategy for customer events ensuring relevant data capture pre-, during, and post-event
  • Use data to assess event performance against sales-related KPIs and provide insights for future improvements
  • Translate event data into actionable reports that sales can leverage for prospecting and illustrating event success over time
  • Conduct post-event debriefs to evaluate how well sales goals were met and identify areas for improvement

Post-Event Activities:

  • Manage the packaging and distribution of event content for continued use by sales, partners, and distributors
  • Ensure content is accessible and effectively utilized to support ongoing sales efforts
  • Develop and document best practices and standardizations for executing influential customer events globally
  • Share these practices across regions to ensure consistency and maximize the impact of the largest and most influential customer events worldwide

Cualificaciones mínimas

  • A bachelor's degree and 6 years of professional work experience (or a master's degree and 3 years of professional work experience, or equivalent experience) is required.

Cualificaciones adicionales

  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in event management, sales engagement, or field marketing preferably in a corporate environment.
  • Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Business, Event Management, or a related field.
  • Strong understanding of sales processes and objectives.
  • Knowledge of event management and marketing strategies.
  • Familiarity with CRM systems, data analytics tools, and measurement tools relevant to event success evaluation.
  • Proven ability to translate sales goals into event strategies, tactics, and measurable outcomes.
  • Strong project management skills with the ability to manage multiple initiatives simultaneously.
  • Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work collaboratively across teams.
  • Proficiency in developing promotional materials and sales communications.
  • Experience with data analysis and reporting to drive actionable insights.
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
