Work in a team of innovative engineers solving problems ranging from user interface, data management, and the domain-specific interoperability needs of today's sophisticated safety-critical applications. Leverage your algorithmic, and software architecture skills to improve our existing infrastructure and develop the next generation of application-level features. Work closely within the team and support teams across the organization to leverage our infrastructure. Participate in all stages of software design, coding, testing, and maintenance. May telecommute up to 40%.

Minimum Qualifications:

Employer will accept a Master's degree in Computer Science, Engineering [any], or related field and no experience.

Alternatively, employer will accept a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering [any], or related field and [3] three years of experience in the job offered or in a Software Engineer-related occupation.

Position requires demonstrable experience with each of the following:

  1. Demonstrated expertise in front-end development technologies (HTML, CSS, or JavaScript) and their impact on the feasibility of design solutions;
  2. Demonstrated expertise in programming in C++ and one scripting language such as Python or MATLAB;
  3. Demonstrated strong understanding of data structures and algorithms such as to arrays, linked lists, trees, graphs, sorting, and searching;
  4. Demonstrated proficiency in unit testing, integration testing, and debugging tools;
  5. Demonstrated proficiency in using Perforce for version control, including branching and merging;
  6. Demonstrated proficiency in wireframing and prototyping tools, and the ability to collaborate effectively with stakeholders to create intuitive and engaging user experiences; and
  7. Demonstrated expertise in diagnosing and resolving front-end performance issues.

 

Experience may be gained during graduate program.  Will accept any suitable combination of education, training, and/or experience.
