RTL-SDR Radio Support from Communications Toolbox

Support Package for RTL-SDR Radio Description

The Communications Toolbox™ Support Package for RTL-SDR Radio allows you to design and prototype software-defined radio (SDR) systems using MATLAB® and Simulink®.

When you use Communications Toolbox in conjunction with an RTL-SDR USB radio, you can design and prototype systems that process real-time wireless signals in MATLAB and Simulink.

Support Package for RTL-SDR Radio is supported for Windows®, Mac, and Linux® operating systems.

Key Features

  • RTL-SDR radio as an I/O peripheral to receive streaming RF signals

  • Ability to design standalone SDR applications with an RTL-SDR connected to Raspberry Pi™ hardware using the Simulink Support Package for Raspberry Pi Hardware

  • Configurable center frequency in the range of 22 MHz to 2.2 GHz (based on the tuner)

  • Configurable sampling rate in the range of 225–300 kHz and 900–2,560 kHz
