I have a live script that does a bunch of stuff. After the script runs I have some variable from that script in the base workspace. Usually symfun objects if that makes a difference. I've noticed that if I then operate on that variable in the base workspace at the command prompt, for example something like
>> s(t) = simplify(s(t))
that the Live editor Stop button turns red while this command is executing.
Is that expected behavior and what does that mean?

The red pause button is any execution, not just execution from the live editor.

I didn't notice the Live editor Pause button coming up, but maybe it did. Do you mean any execution from the command line on a variable defined in the live script? Or do you literally mean any execution from the command line?
For example, Suppose I just have the Live editor open with nothing in it and I execute the command
>> a = func(b)
Are you saying I can use the Live editor Stop (or Pause?) button to kill execution of func?
