In an electrical network model i built, there's a transformer that steps down voltage to 240V. I'm getting values of reactive power greater than active power. I'm convinced it has something to do with the transformer. tried using a grounded capacitor in parallel (for power factor correction)but no improvement.
Some help here please?

Can you reform the question in a way that makes explicit the part of the problem directly related to Matlab?

ok...in the model, a 3 phase source block, pi section line, step down transformer and a dynamic load (all 3 phase) are in series. A VI measuring block and discrete VI & PQ measuring blocks are placed just downstream of the transformer. on the scopes, i get values of reactive power greater than active power...any idea what might be the reason for this? (coz i expected the opposite)
