I am having issues integrating a pressurized hydraulic reservoir with the rest of my system. This is composed of a flow rate source, a spring-loaded accumulator, and a linear resistance, whereby water is to be drawn from the reservoir, pumped to the accumulator, and ultimately returns to the the reservoir after passing through the resistance.
  1. I am setting the initial volume of my tank to be 150mL (initial pressure 0Pa);
  2. The flow source takes fluid from the tank to pump about 90 mL every second.
  3. Water goes through a spring-loaded accumulator of 10mL (preload = 0; max pressure 1000 Pa); through a resistance of 1500e7 Pa s/m3; and back to the reservoir.
The simulation runs fine and reaches steady staty after a few seconds, but the measured tank volume is about 5L and I really don't understand how. Given that the same amout is drawn from and returned to the tank, I don't understand where the 5L is coming from.
Thanks for any help

Hi Luca,
Are you able to figure out the mystery? I see no reason the tank volume being 5L either? Any possibility of wrong unit set by mistake somewhere in the model?
