      Overview

      Autonomous technology is changing the products we build in different industries. In the Aerospace and Defense industry, autonomous systems like Unmanned Ground Vehicles (UGVs), Autonomous Underwater Vehicles (AUVs), Unmanned Aerial Vehicles (UAVs) and Warehouse robots are increasingly gaining attention.

      Developing such systems require engineers analyze the behavior of various subsystems, simulate and test algorithms that perceive environment, keep track of moving objects, controls as an integrated platform, and deploy to the actual hardware.

      About the Presenter

      Naga Chakrapani Pemmaraju, Sr. Application Engineer, MathWorks India Pvt. Ltd.

      Naga is a Sr. Application Engineer with MathWorks India Pvt Ltd. specializing in the areas of Modeling, Simulation, Controls and Real-Time Simulations. He closely works with customers from Automotive Industry, Defense Labs and other Tier I Education Institutes in helping them adopt Model Based Design approach using MathWorks Products. He has over 12 years of experience working in controls for Automotive, Aero and Renewable Energy domains. Prior to joining MathWorks, Naga worked on controls for Wind Turbines at Vestas Wind System, on auto-code generation for Converter Controls at Northern Power Systems and on Hardware-in-Loop (HIL) simulations at Caterpillar Inc.

      Naga holds a Bachelor degree in Electronics and Control Engineering from JNTU, Hyderabad and Master’s degree in Electrical Engineering from Texas A&M University, Kingsville-USA.

      Abhishek Tiwari, Sr. Pilot Engineer, MathWorks India Pvt. Ltd.

      Abhishek Tiwari is a senior pilot engineer at MathWorks India specializing in design analysis and implementation of signal processing, communications and data processing applications. He works closely with customers across domains to help them use MATLAB® and Simulink® in their workflows. He has over 9 years of industrial experience in design and development of hardware and software applications in Radar domain. He has been a part of complete lifecycle of projects pertaining to aerospace and defence applications. Prior to joining MathWorks, he worked for Bharat Electronics Limited (BEL) and Electronics and Radar Development Establishment (LRDE) as Deputy Manager. He holds a bachelor’s degree in Electronics and Telecommunication from National Institute of Technology, Raipur.
