Translational Velocity Noise Source
R2026bProduce zero-mean normally (Gaussian) distributed translational velocity
Libraries:

Description
The Translational Velocity Noise Source block generates zero-mean normally (Gaussian) distributed translational velocity using the PS Random Number source in the Simscape™ Foundation library. The translational velocity produced by the block depends on two factors:
The noise power spectral density input to the block
A random number seed that you control using the Repeatability and, as applicable, Seed parameters
The defining equation for the translational velocity that the block generates is
where:
v is the output translational velocity.
PSD is the single-sided noise power spectral density.
N is a Gaussian random number with zero mean and standard deviation of one.
h is the sampling interval.

Programmatic Use: Add Block
To add the block programmatically, use the add_block function with one of these library block paths as the source.
"sdl_lib/Sources/Translational Velocity Noise Source"
Example: add_block("sdl_lib/Sources/Translational Velocity Noise Source","myModel/myBlock",MakeNameUnique="on")
For information about programmatic access to individual block parameters, see the Programmatic Use section of parameter descriptions on this page.
