I'm getting a segmentation fault (log provided below).
There is some non-standard usage of MATLAB associated with this error. The MATLAB application is being run multiple times in parallel via the terminal to compute an objective function for gradient descent. Unfortunately, the parallel terminal method is the only option available to me in this case and I cannot implement the computation via standard parfor parallel approaches.
The segfault occurs with system resources at a relatively low state (CPU 40% capacity). This is also not due to software error -- the setup is replicated on another machine and executes without any issues. There appears to be no clear pattern to when the segfault occurs during the execution of the optimization.
The machine that does not produce the segfault is intel based. Reading some forums I have seen some other issues noted with Ryzen Threadripper: https://www.mathworks.com/matlabcentral/answers/330889-does-matlab-perform-well-on-amd-ryzen but it isn't clear that this implied the segfaults I'm getting.
I have tried this with MATLAB 2020a but moved back to an older version to match up with the intel machine. Therefore, MATLAB version does not seem to be the issue.

I haven't implemented any dll/mex files for this, it is all native MATLAB code. The most expensive task is random number generation implemented with: A = (imresize(randn(600, 600), 4, 'nearest'));
Is it possible that this is a architecture dependent issue with AMD? I have run this exact setup many times on an intel system with no issues at near max CPU utilization. I've pasted the system details of both below for reference.

In my experience when I have crashes, they come back and say it's a problem with my video adapter drivers and to update them. Even after they've been updated I'd sometimes get blue scrrens of death or MATLAB would suddenly go Poof and disappear. I'd sometimes get a crash reporter when I restarted it and when those get sent in, they will reply. Did you get that and send in the report? Regardless, the fastest way is to just call them on the phone. If you read the FAQ you know that is the best way and that you'll have little likelihood of success going back and forth here in Answers. Do it now before the holiday weekend starts. Will you do that?

Sounds good, thank you. Yes I did read in the FAQ that directly contacting MathWorks is a good move. I thought I would throw it out to the community first anyway so that there is a public record of it. I have the crash reports logged so I can send them in. Also, solid advice about getting in the queue!
