Hi everybody,
I am using refprop in a script where the refpropm call is used in a for loop over a very large number of iterations. I have no problems with the refprop function itself, I was just wondering if there is a way to use refpropm on vectors rather than single elements.
I would like to get rid of my for loops to use vectors and matrices instead but I don't see any way to get rid of the loop when I call the refprop function (as refprop works with single elements but not vectors).
Did anyone have this problem before and/or knows how to solve it?

Actually, refpropm function calculates refrigerant conditions point by point. You can check this when refprop program runs. When you click on calculation tab, you can see "specify state point". This tool allows us to specify refrigerant conditions with 2 inputs. With 2 input, you can get whatever you want. refpropm function does the same, you need 2 inputs. So, in my opinion, refpropm function can't work with vectoral inputs. For loop is necessary.

I have met same quesiton as you did, what I suggest is if you continue use NIST Refprop to Thermal Calculation, try python which is better to speed up the loop calculation.
