Piezo stack PZT-5H is excited at the resonance frequency and AC is rectified. DC-DC converter booster is used to charge the battery
Piezo electric stack PZT-5H specifications are used to simulate battery charging. The piezo electric stack is excited at 1.82Hz matching with spring-mass natural frequency. Full wave rectification to DC is followed by DC-DC converter to boost the input voltage more than the battery nominal voltage. The SOC of the battery is kept less than 100% to allow charging. Different piezo stacks and type of batteries charging strategies can be further explored.
