Middle&Centroidal Edge nodes Triangular Kirchoff Plates
We can assume the this element has displacement function complete Quadratic polynomial format. This diplacement function results in constant curvatures and moments throughout the triangle. The element is equivalent to the constant strain
triangle and is the simplest bending element possible. Due to the constant strain, the integrands for deriving the stiffness matrix contain only constants, which considerably simplifies the derivaiton. This model has not provide
interelement continuity in deflection , it satisfies all conditions of equilibrium and it gives convergent results. The moments satisfy the conditions of internal equilibrium as well as interelement equilibrium.
