Electric circuit based on dependent source with Simulink

Create an electric circuit with a dependent source using MATLAB Simulink

Step-by-Step Instructions1. Add Voltage Source (Control Signal)
  • Use an AC Voltage Source or Step Voltage Source.
  • Connect to a Resistor for loading (optional).
  • Tap the voltage using a Voltage Measurement block.
2. Add Controlled Voltage Source
  • Place the Controlled Voltage Source block.
  • Its input port (Simulink signal) takes the measured voltage (or a scaled version).
  • You can use a Gain block from Simulink if you want Vout=kVcontrolV_{\text{out}} = k \cdot V_{\text{control}}Vout=kVcontrol.
3. Connect the Output Circuit
  • Add a Resistive Load at the output of the Controlled Voltage Source.
  • Connect everything to Ground.
4. Monitoring
  • Use another Voltage Measurement block on the output.
  • Feed this to a Scope.
5. Simulation Settings
  • Use the Powergui block (from SimPowerSystems > Extras).
  • Choose “Continuous” or “Discrete” solver in Powergui settings.
