App Description
This software integrates a Boundary Nucleation Growth (BNG) model for simulating the heat evolution during cement hydration and quantitatively analyzing reaction rates. The app allows users to calculate reaction rates at cement particle interfaces and within pore spaces, providing detailed insight into hydration kinetics. It is especially suitable for systems with a single component and a single hydration heat peak, such as C₃S-dominated exothermic peaks.
Key Features:
Built-in BNG model for simulating cement hydration heat flow
Quantitative analysis of reaction rates
Calculation of interface and pore reaction rates
Optimized for single-component systems and single exothermic (hydration heat) peaks (primarily C₃S)
This app is an effective tool for cement materials researchers and users interested in hydration kinetics modeling.
Required Data:
Hydration heat (unit: mW/g)
Time (unit: hours)
Water-to-cement ratio used in the heat of hydration test
Cement density
Cement specific surface area
Liquid density
Computation and Performance:
For faster calculations, it is recommended to use a computer with multiple CPU cores.
The app includes options to adjust calculation resolution and the number of search iterations to balance speed and accuracy.
The initial and end values of parameters in the app interface should be adjusted by the user based on fitting results and specific dataset characteristics.
Memory and Stability:
The number of search points (IN1, IN2, IN3, and IN4) is directly related to your computer’s available memory.
For optimal performance and to avoid overloading or software crashes, it is recommended that the product of these values does not exceed 10 million.
Exceeding this threshold may cause excessive memory usage and lead to the app crashing.
Feedback:
We welcome your suggestions and feedback for further improvements!
