Harmonic Signal Generation and Sampling – DSP Assignment
This Simulink example demonstrates the generation of a signal consisting of a DC component, 50 Hz fundamental, and its 3rd, 5th, and 7th harmonics with specified magnitudes and phase relationships.
The generated signal is sampled at an interval of 3 ms. Ten consecutive samples are collected using a Buffer block and displayed along with the corresponding signal waveforms.
How to Use
  1. Download and open the Simulink model.
  2. Examine the parameters of the Harmonic Signal Generator block.
  3. Run the simulation and observe the generated signal, sampled values, and 10-sample Buffer output.
  4. For the assignment, change the amplitude parameters as instructed by your instructor.
  5. Run the simulation and use the displayed numerical values and graphs to answer the assigned questions.
The phase values are already defined internally in the simulation and need not be determined separately.
Do not change the sampling interval or other simulation parameters unless specifically instructed.
