The GITANES software package allows an effective application of the Generalized Inverse Technique (Andrews, 1986) in the MATLAB environment for the joint evaluation of the source spectra and site spectral amplification using earthquake waveforms collected by a network of stations. The package includes a GUI, which allows the user to have a rapid visual overview of the available data, and an immediate insight in the corresponding results, when applying changes to the propagation model and to the selection of stations and events.
As it is provided, the GITANES package is equally suitable for site amplification surveys intended for microzonation studies as well as for studies regarding the spectrum of the seismic source.

Versión Publicado Notas de la versión
1.3.1.0

Waveform plot debugged
If defined, pick of S-wave arrival is read from SAC header variable T0.
Lower and upper limits for propagation model parameter gamma relaxed to 0.0 and 4.0, respectively.

1.3.0.0

Improved description of the attenuation term: now the attenuation may be defined with different parameter values on three distance intervals.
Minor bugs solved.
Removed dependency from inputsdlg funciton.

1.2.0.0

Added:
1) evaluation (and visualization) of the H/V ratio of earthquake spectra
2) option for the selection of time windows based on the 5%-95% cumulative energy limits
3) automatic selection of all vertical (or all horizontal) components
