A MATLAB App tool to estimate the degree of age-dependent erosion in monogenetic scoria cones
This App computes the Average Erosion Index (AEI) of conical landforms from DEM level contours. The AEI quantifies the shape and size of undulations in level contours using Elliptical Fourier Descriptors to calculate the wavelength spectra of undulations in selected contours (Zarazúa-Carbajal and De la Cruz Reyna, 2020. https://doi.org/10.1016/j.jvolgeores.2020.107093 ).
Additionally, this App allows computing morphometric parameters of conical landforms from a set of 8 elevation profiles and permits correcting those parameters for terrain inclination.
