Beyond Connectivity: Joint Communication and Sensing for 5G‑Advanced and 6G
Overview
This webinar introduces Joint Communication and Sensing (JCAS) or Integrated Sensing and Communication (ISAC), a key enabling technology for 5G‑Advanced and future 6G networks. ISAC tightly integrates wireless communication with radar‑based sensing capabilities to enable accurate localization, environmental awareness, and personalized user experiences. By leveraging the inherent synergy between radar and communication systems, ISAC allows wireless networks to simultaneously connect, sense, and localize users and objects. This convergence supports advanced location‑based services, improves network efficiency, and opens new possibilities for intelligent and context‑aware wireless applications.
