Signal Conversion
R2026bConvert signal to new type without altering signal values
Libraries:
Simulink /
Signal Attributes
HDL Coder /
Signal Attributes
Alternative Configurations of Signal Conversion Block:
Signal Copy | To Virtual Bus | To Nonvirtual Bus
Description
The Signal Conversion block converts a signal from one type to another. To select the type of conversion to perform, use the Output parameter or one of the alternative configurations of the Signal Conversion block:

Programmatic Use: Add Block
To add the block programmatically, use the add_block function with one of these library block paths as the source.
"simulink/Signal Attributes/Signal Conversion"
"hdlsllib/Signal Attributes/Signal Conversion"
Example: add_block("simulink/Signal Attributes/Signal Conversion","myModel/myBlock",MakeNameUnique="on")
For information about programmatic access to individual block parameters, see the Programmatic Use section of parameter descriptions on this page.
