Need help on xPC target with I/O card

Dear All,

I need to install I/O card (NI PCI-6229) on my target computer. My question is, do I need to access to the computers OS in order to properly install the I/O card to be used with xPC target or will the target computer be able to recognise the I/O card once it is booted using the boot disk created using the host computer?

I am having this problem because my supervisor gave me a desktop computer (for the target PC)that I cannot log-in user my university username and password and the IT person refuse to setup my username and password because they said I don't need to use the computers OS.

You will not need to set anything up beyond plugging the board in.
