Is raised cosine filter (rcosdesign) in R2013a student edition?

Hello,

I have the student version of matlab r2013a, and i am trying to run the function rcosdesign but i get an error. is this function not in signal processing toolbox 6.19? Because my school has signal processing toolbox 6.2 and the function is there.

Hi David,

I think you are right.

If a function does not appear in the documentation, then it is not present in the toolbox. I think most probably the functions in the toolbox remain the same for both the student version and the general release.

Thus, I checked the doc for both R2013a and R2013b, and it looks like rcosdesign is not available in R2013a but available in Signal Processing Toolbox in R2013b.

I confirmed this by looking at the release notes for R2013b. Please check here for the release notes.
