matlab exe file to run as admin

Hi, I want to run matlab as admin but I can not find its exe file. If I find it I can run it as admin by right clicking.

In command prompt write

runas /user:<admin_username> matlab.exe

after which it will ask for the Password

Do you have the shortcut? You can right click --> Properties --> Location and find it. Even there, you can right click the shortcut and run as admin.

I have not a shortcut and I can not create it. If I know the name of exe file I can locate it easily.

I use win8 and first I push winkey then write Matlab to the window then matlab icon appears but it is not in the desktop. the I push enter but in that window right clicking and choosing run as admin does not work. I do not know the reason.

Can't you right-click the icon and tell it to create shortcut? (or Send to-->Desktop)
