How can I analysis an image to detect if there are any salts dissolved in water? Andm what are the criteria which can I based on in this situation?

I would like take two different sample image of each salty and pure water, then extract the features from them.

I doubt if you could tell the difference visually, unless you were using some sort of spectroscopy. Enantiomeric compounds will rotate plane polarised light, but that requires a bit of instrumentation as well. Turbidity alone would not be indicative of salinity. What instrumentation would you use to acquire your images?
