how the slider works in matlab?

Can anybody tell me the working of slider practically with some small example .How to take slider step . As I hav set of image which is shown. I want that if I move slider it ashould show some images at a time while hiding others. Any help will be greatly appreciated. Thanks Preeti

Basically to use a slider you will need to think about two main things when the slider is created:
  1. the slider 'min' and 'max', and optionally the step sizes
  2. the slider 'callback' function to be the function that you want to occur when the slider moves. This can be any MATLAB function, either inbuilt or one that you define yourself.
Here is a very clear example of how to use a slider to scroll some axes:
