How can I implement a reset button in a GUI code?

Ok, so I wrote a GUI that runs my program when I click a push button called Run Program. My question is how can I implement a Reset push button to bring the user back to before the Run program button was pushed but still keep all other variables in the GUI window from resetting to no value? If anyone could help that would be great!!

In a nutshell, set up the callback function for the pushbutton to be saveState instead of it being for the figure CloseRequestFcn .
