Simulating coupled machines - Induction motor and dc generator

As part of my research project I would like to model and simulate a 3 ph induction motor coupled to a dc generator, is this possible in simulink? if so how can i get started? Please provide examples of such simulations , if you have any.

There's a Simulink add-on tool called SimPowerSystems which is made to model three-phase electrical systems. I would start by looking into that.
