2015b freezes when I modify the path with the pathtool gui

Does it happen even if you do not change the path and just tell it to save what it already has?

Is it a Windows OS? Are you sure Windows Updates aren't running in the background?

same here. 2015b has major issues with saving paths. Takes forever and uses up huge amts of CPU. Obviously something wrong.

Which os? There are known issues with osx and version control being turned on.

I have the same problem. OSX 10.10.5 and Matlab 2015b. Could you point to the version control known issue?

Steven Hoffman: as described in the above link, turn off Source Control Integration in your preferences. (Or upgrade to R2016b)

Turning the Source Control Integration off didn't work for me. However I was able to get it to work when I increased the Java Heap Memory (>Preferences>General>Java Heap Memory) to the maximum allowable (~8,000MB). The default is set at 512 MB.
