If you're using R2014a and later, and you have the System Identification Toolbox, you can get around the difficult task of linearizing a discontinuous switch system and use data instead to estimate a model.

This short video shows the workflow, and I've had success with this for other models (like three-phase inverters and single-phase PWM).
