Was using simulink with a math works webinar and after a bunch of work and constant saving matlab crashes no surprise I open my simulink file back up and I'm rewarded with a file that opens in the editor with garbage
If this is how simulink works the first time i try it i can't say I'm surprised knowing math works How do i save my file

You have to rename the autosave file before opening it ie, you have to remove .autosave part from the autosave file ..

Check in the folder you were saving your work if you have a file like either of those: model_name.mdl.autosave or model_name.slx.autosave. If you find it just delete the .autosave extension and open the renamed file
