How to identify parameters of a nonlinear model

Hellow fellows, I am using the identification toolbox to do a system identification now. I thought the nonlinear ARX model would be suiltible for my model but one problem is that, how to transfer the arx model into a explicit math expression? And how does the regressor correspond to the states of my system？ Thanks in advance!
