Creating a Windows DLL from a Simulink Diagram

I need to create a library that other applications can call from a Simulink diagram. I'm assuming I can use "grt.tlc" to create ANSI-C and go from there. Anyone else done this? What pitfalls might I encounter?
Thanks!

grt.tlc generates an executable. If you need a library, ert_shrlib.tlc is more appropriate (assuming you have an Embedded Coder license). If you don't have Embedded Coder, you should be able to perform some manual changes to the code generated using grt.tlc and modify the build rules to obtain a library instead.
