SVPWM Generator for grid connected voltage source inverter application?

I'm trying to design a grid-connected three phase voltage source inverter as a lab project. I am using TI's F28379D microcontroller board for control signals. My plan is to configure ePWM block to accept pulse width information from the built-in SVPWM generator block in the Embedded Coder library, but in some examples, SVPWM is used only for 3-phase inverters interfaced with AC induction machines. Can I use a similar setup for a grid-connected VSI application? Of course the control for that will be different from the control for AC induction machines, but the SVPWM generator will be the same.
Any suggestions please?
