Yes there are .

You should probably think about whether the alternatives are correct or are efficient or how much resources they take or about whether they are practical . But yes, they exist .

Also you should define for yourself whether mathematically equivalent techniques are to be considered different for your purposes . For example is transfer function different from state space since they are equivalent ?

However this is not aa question about matlab . You should be researching control systems theory .
