As the rules introduced, our minidrone will be tested on multiple tracks. Does anyone know who we can build our own tracks for evaluation in the simulink?
You can refer to the last video in the MathWorks Minidrone Competition video series, Competition Arena. That would probably help you understand how you can change the track in the simulation environment:
Thanks for your reply and we are able to edit the track ourselves now. As we can see in the video that the track is single color but it can be any color, so are we required to detect the track color automatually by the software or we could manually adjust our code(image processing block) due to the track color accordingly? Thank you!
The track for Simulation round would be just Red (#FF0000) as mentioned in section B.3 of the Getting Started Guide. So, for Round 1 of the competition, you can assume that the track colour will be #FF0000.
If you are shortlisted for Round 2 of the competition, the colour of the track would be different. For this, you can use the time in the Practice round to tune the image thresholds. The video on Deploy on Hardware in the MathWorks Minidrone Competition video series may help to understand how to tune the parameters in the model.
