Connecting two EV3 via USB

I want to connect two ev3 with matlab via usb. Is this possible or is it possible to make a master-slave-connection (one ev3 to computer via usb, second ev3 connected to the first ev3)?

I even tried to connect one via bluetooth and one via USB with no success
