The magnitude gain of one-cycle DFT is well known and is given by
, where N is the number of samples per cycle of the fundamental frequency given by
. The sampling frequency which is the integral multiple of the fundamental frequency is given by
. The gain is unity when
, (ω being the off-nominal frequency), and less than unity for off-nominal frequencies due to spectral leakage. What is the value of the magnitude gain for a 2-cycle DFT. How does the above equation change for a 2-cycle DFT. Any help will be much appreciated.
