What is the meaning of a KW in a specification of a grid?

Is it the KW when a load is connected or when no load? Lets say 400kw grid does that mean that grid will have an output of 400kw when a load is connected?

I doubt that Kelvin-Watts has much meaning at all.

Think about it. Power (kW or kVA) is voltage multiplied by current. There is no current if there is no load.
