Trouble installing Matlab on Samsung series 9 laptop

I have trouble installing Matlab on my Samsung series 9 laptop (NP900x4D-A02SE). After the installer has finished extracting the files, a popup says something about configuring Microsoft Visual C++ 2005 Redistributable (x64). After a while, the popup disappears and the installation stops.
I've tried to remove all the files and downloading them again, though this has not helped. Any suggestions?

Hi Jakob, MathWorks offers installation support. They can guide you through the process. I haven't seen this issue before, but you can seek support help.
