sanfranciscos.dem.gz: Same file for Antarctica

Dear all

I would like to get more or less exactly this map: http://www.mathworks.ch/ch/help/map/ref/geoshow.html "Read and Display the San Francisco South" but I need it for the entire Antarctic continent. I was looking for shapefiles like the one used in the example above. But I did not find anything useful and which I can download for free. Does anyone know where I can get this data from, i.e. is there a list available? Or what command do I have to enter in matlab to get a Antarctica elevation map?

Res--I wrote this Matlab Toolbox to simplify the process of working with a free Antarctic DEM dataset.
