How to get projected X and Y coordinates from GPS data i.e. Latitude and Longitude???

I have GPS data of moving body and using this i want to find its X and Y coordinates given that 1st point is assumed to be the origin and all transformations to X and Y coordinates are done assuming first point as origin. How to accomplish this task using Matlab??? please help...i have list of GPS data.
