Unable to acquire images

Hi,

I'm trying to connect two gige cameras to Matlab, each to it's own network card with static IP addresses. However, when I go to preview the output I get a blank preview screen (all black with "Waiting for START" at the bottom of the window), and when I attempt a snapshot I get the following error

>> getsnapshot(Camera)

Error using imaqdevice/getsnapshot (line 72)
A timeout occurred during GETSNAPSHOT.

I've been able to get this setup to work on my previous computer with Matlab 2012b. However, I've now changed machines and I am now using Matlab 2013a. Both network cards are the same and I've matched their settings to the previous machine. I've been able to see the output of both cameras using the vendors software (however have now uninstalled their filter software). I'm able to see the properties of each camera by creating an object in Matlab.

What am I missing/what's the solution?
