How to use times new roman font (requiring \usepackage{newtxtext,newtxmath}) when using latex interpreter to plot a figure?

I am writing a paper which requires the times new roman text and equation. I have equations in figures, these equations look terrible when I tried to use tex interpreter. However, when I changed to latex interpreter, I could not change the font. I have looked for answers for a while, I found this:
Problem is still not solved. I am using the MTALAB 2021a update3 in a win10 computer. How to solve this problem? Thanks.

If you want latex-friendly plot from matlab, you can try the following package:
Then you have the freedom of editing the figures in latex.

It works, but not perfect. For some of my figures, the latex runs error with the message: out of memory. The reason is that there are too many data in these figures.
Besides, the lay outs, distance between the labels and axis, etc., are a little different with the figures I printed directly from matlab using Tex interpreter.
I think Mathworks should consider to solve this problem in the new version of Matlab.
