how to read data from wordpad and use the data to do the question

guys, i got a problem here, now i got 2 case, first case got 3 coordinate, second case got 6 coordinate. i am required to write only one m.file to solve the 2 case. so my problem here is how to write the coding for read the wordpad no matter how much coordinate they got inside the wordpad...help help
